The dream itself isn’t new. It’s lived quietly in my heart for as long as I can remember. But for years, I struggled with self-doubt. I wondered if I was good enough, or ready to create something truly my own. Still, deep down, I always knew that caring for dogs — sharing my days with them — was where I felt most at home. It’s where my heart truly belongs. But this journey is also a quiet tribute to my first dog, Cilindro our beloved dachshund who passed away in 2019. He was the very first dog I ever loved, and I still miss him every day. Sadly, I didn’t make it home in time to say goodbye I arrived in Italy just two days too late. It broke my heart. But everything I do now is, in many ways, for him. Spraoi Tails is a way of honoring the bond we shared one I’ll carry with me forever. ​ A big turning point came in 2021, when I adopted Elmo, my sweet cockapoo. He’s more than my best companion he’s my light on heavy days, and my steady joy when the world feels overwhelming. Elmo is the heart of Spraoi Tails. He’s the first to greet every new pup with a wagging tail and playful spirit, making sure they feel safe, loved, and part of the pack from the very beginning. ​ Dogs have a beautiful way of seeing us for who we are and loving us just as we are. They fill spaces in our hearts that we didn’t even know were empty. With them, I’ve found my purpose, my place in the world and my joy. ​ At Spraoi Tails, every dog is treated like family. We’ve created a cozy, loving home where tails wag, hearts are full, and every day feels like a little adventure — filled with play, cuddles, and connection.
